Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Sprinkler Install Lead Technician in Texas to lead sprinkler installation projects, oversee technicians, and ensure safety and code compliance on site. You will interpret drawings, manage multiple jobs, and provide on-the-job training to staff.

The role requires strong lead experience, NFPA knowledge, and a clean driving record, with travel to various job sites. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as a technician or above.
• 3+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
• NICET Level II or higher preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler installation practices and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Support technicians and apprentices on job sites.
• Independently perform installation using hand tools and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Plan and manage individual or multiple small-scale jobs.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
• Review and complete required documentation and installation reports accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to team members.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
