Job summary

You will oversee day-to-day field operations, ensure NFPA and code compliance, and communicate with clients about project status and potential changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of the fire protection industry including NFPA standards, local codes, and best practices.
• Proven leadership overseeing field crews.
• Proficiency in reading and redlining fabrication drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive customer service attitude.
• Ability to travel and lift heavy objects.
• OSHA 30 training required or must obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Sales aptitude a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the layout, assembly, and installation of fire sprinkler piping systems and fire pumps for commercial and industrial buildings.
• Oversee on-site work crews, ensuring installations comply with NFPA standards, local codes, and customer requirements.
• Conduct hydrostatic testing to verify system functionality and identify leaks.
• Perform final inspections with the local, state, and county AHJs.
• Serve as a technical expert for the team, interpreting work specifications, fire codes, and training junior team members to ensure consistency in project execution.
• Maintain positive client relationships and clear communication on project status including relaying potential change orders or service needs.
