Job summary

ServiceMaster CDR in Akron, OH seeks a Lead Fire & Contents Restoration Technician to join our elite team. You will perform all aspects of fire and smoke damage restoration, including demolition, cleaning, packing, and debris removal, while following safety procedures and maintaining equipment.

You will document progress using Contents Track, iCAT, and Restore 365, interact with homeowners and insurers, and contribute to a high-quality service delivery culture at a nationally recognized company.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in fire or smoke damage restoration (residential or commercial).
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and a can-do attitude.
• Solid customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and wear PPE as required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of fire and smoke damage restoration, including demolition, cleaning, contents handling, equipment setup, pack-outs, and debris removal.
• Safely pack, move, clean, and restore fire-damaged personal belongings and commercial contents.
• Operate restoration tools and equipment with proper use and care.
• Document job progress, inventory, and customer interactions using restoration software (Contents Track, iCAT, Restore 365).
• Work with homeowners, property managers, insurers, and project leads for quality service delivery.
• Follow safety procedures and keep worksite clean and organized; maintain vehicles and equipment.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies as needed.
