Job summary

Rainbow Restoration of Chesapeake is seeking a dependable Lead Technician for the Fire, Contents & Specialty Cleaning Division. The role involves leading a small crew, handling fire/contents cleaning, odor removal, and trauma/biohazard cleanup when trained, with a focus on safety and customer care.

Ideal candidates have restoration experience, leadership potential, and a keen eye for detail, maintaining organized work areas and precise documentation for projects from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Hands-on restoration, contents cleaning, or similar experience.
• Experience leading a crew or readiness for leadership.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and process-oriented.
• Customer belongings handling with care.

Responsibilities

• Lead technicians on fire, contents, and specialty cleaning projects.
• Assist with fire and smoke damage cleaning.
• Clean and deodorize structures, contents, and affected materials.
• Perform contents pack-outs and pack-backs.
• Inventory, photograph, label, and track customer contents.
• Help protect and properly handle customer belongings.
• Perform odor-removal and specialty cleaning services.
• Assist with hoarding cleanup projects.
• Assist with trauma and biohazard cleanup when trained.
• Establish containment and follow PPE and safety procedures.
• Maintain organized work areas, vehicles, equipment, and contents storage.
• Take clear photos and complete required job documentation.
• Communicate project progress and concerns to the Project Manager/Division Manager.
• Direct and support technicians assigned to the project.
• Help ensure work is completed according to scope, company standards, and safety requirements.
• Provide professional and compassionate customer service.
