Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions (pka Parker+Lynch) is seeking a Lead Financial Reporting Accountant in the Indianapolis area. The role focuses on consolidations, financial analysis, GL accounting, and serves as a liaison between Manager and Staff/Seniors.

The candidate should have at least 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong consolidation and reporting skills, and familiarity with ERP systems. Hybrid WFH is available, with a clear path for internal progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA designation preferred but not required.
• Strong background in consolidations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead consolidation activities across multiple entities and business units.
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes for timely reporting.
• Perform general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Analyze financial results and provide management with actionable insights.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Prepare management reporting packages, dashboards, and KPI reporting.
• Collaborate with operational and finance leadership on trends and risks.
• Assist with external audit requests and supporting schedules.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and data accuracy.
• Support intercompany accounting activities and reconciliations.

This position is open due to promotion and will focus on consolidations, financial analysis, GL accounting, and be a liaison between the Manager and Staff/Seniors.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial results and provide management with actionable insights regarding business performance
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
• Prepare management reporting packages, dashboards, and key performance indicator reporting
• Partner with operational and finance leadership to evaluate trends, risks, and opportunities
• Assist with external audit requests and preparation of supporting schedules
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and data accuracy
• Support intercompany accounting activities and reconciliations
• Utilize financial systems and advanced Excel tools to streamline reporting and analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
• Foundation in large public accounting/audit preferred
• Strong background in consolidations, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end close activities
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• CPA designation preferred but not required
