Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Financial Model Risk Management Lead to join a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. You will provide governance, compliance, and operational risk guidance, partnering with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations.

The position offers remote work for US-based candidates and opportunities to strengthen responsible execution and support sustainable growth within a regulated financial services

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in model development, validation, or quantitative finance.
• Deep knowledge of corporate finance, treasury, ALM, or actuarial/statistical forecasting.
• Proficient in Python and SQL for data handling.
• Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning in finance.
• BS, MS, or PhD in a quantitative field such as Finance, Statistics, or Data Science.
• Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills for influencing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent challenges of financial and analytics quantitative models
• Lead validation engagements on complex finance and analytics models
• Identify model weaknesses and articulate findings to stakeholders
• Collaborate with model owners and stakeholders to address validation issues
• Implement and maintain the company's Model Risk Management framework
• Coordinate with Internal Audit and Compliance for timely resolution of requests
