The Lead Financial Analyst will perform lead analyst responsibilities for both the Newington and Shoreview Component Manufacturing sites. This position reports to the Controller of GOS Component, Engineering, and I&C Services. US Remote candidates will be considered for this role.
Your Day to Day:
- Provide daily financial support to the Director and operational managers of both sites.
- Lead the preparation, development, and delivery of the annual 5-year business plan.
- Interact with GOS leadership, Business Unit finance, and operational teams to develop a comprehensive integrated business planning process.
- Lead the preparation and review of cost center budgets and labor rates.
- Deliver operational reports to support review and analysis of cost center spend, resource utilization, and missing time.
- Lead monthly closing, forecasting, and reporting for both locations, including journal entries, financial analysis, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Identify and communicate ongoing risks and opportunities related to the business plan and financial forecasts.
- Support the preparation of capital budgets and manage actual capital spending, including asset ordering and capitalization requests.
- Manage fixed asset records, including impairment analysis and physical asset verification.
- Support monthly inventory reporting and forecasting.
- Assist with monthly SIOP demand planning inputs and reviews.
- Present financial results at operational staff meetings.
- Support finance and operational leadership with ad hoc initiatives.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A or relevant finance/accounting roles; 10-15 years is typical.
- Proficiency in reporting systems and MS Excel; SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills in Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow analysis.
