Job summary

TransCore, a subsidiary of ST Engineering, seeks a Lead Technician in Houston, TX to join our team. The role performs on-site or in-house servicing, repair and installation of customer equipment, with duties including troubleshooting, configuration, and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience is required.
• Advanced troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network systems is expected.
• Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP), system integration, and diagnostics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and configure customer equipment.
• Perform on-site or in-house servicing and installation of electronic systems.
• Lead and train technicians and coordinate field activity.
• Document actions, reports, and maintain logs per policy.
• Respond to alarms and corrective maintenance requests promptly.
• Suggest preventive maintenance actions and improvements.
