Job summary

TransCore, a subsidiary of ST Engineering, seeks a Technician II to join our Houston team. The role performs on-site or in-house servicing, repair and installation of tolling products, including troubleshooting, programming and preventive maintenance.

This is a heavy travel position with significant time away from home, requiring strong electronics skills, ability to read schematics, and reliable field performance under safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Must maintain driver’s license in good standing.
• Comfortable working at heights exceeding 50 ft.
• Experience with electronic toll collection systems, RFID, ANPR, or traffic control devices is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair equipment including Windows/Linux hardware and network components.
• Prepare reports and communicate with shift-to-shift personnel.
• Respond to maintenance requests and alarms promptly.
• Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and system issues.
• Train less experienced technicians as needed.
