Job summary

TransCore in Arlington, TX seeks a Technician II to join the team for on-site or in-house servicing, repair and installation of company products. This role covers electrical, data, and fiber optic work, with field support and installation responsibilities across equipment and systems.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with an associate's degree desirable, and hands-on skills in testing, documentation, and troubleshooting of electronic equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate's degree desirable for preferred candidate.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

Installs equipment including IP cameras, antennas, detectors, and network gear.
Install and troubleshoot electrical conductors, data conductors, and fiber optic cables.
Uses in-house software to troubleshoot system issues.
Terminates conductors to equipment including CAT6 cables.
Connects electrical conductors to power services to energize equipment.
Tests devices to ensure proper operation and reliability.
Enters detailed information on electronic work orders.
