Job summary

Superior Construction Company Southeast is seeking a Survey Party Chief to manage construction layout for roadways, structures, utilities and related layouts on project sites. The role requires operating survey equipment such as total stations, levels, and GPS, ensuring precise layouts according to specifications and coordinating with field crews.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2-4 years' experience in the surveying industry.
• Field based project execution experience.
• 1 year minimum of construction layout.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Determine methods for recovery of existing survey control and establish secondary control as needed.
• Operate and maintain all survey equipment including total stations, levels, GPS.
• Perform layout work accurately as specified.
• Familiar with Topcon/Leica/Trimble hardware and software or willingness to learn.
• Uphold company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Lead with integrity while delivering high-quality work.
