Job summary

Superior Construction Company Southeast is seeking a Survey Project Manager to lead survey activities on heavy civil highway projects. You will translate engineering plans into field layouts, manage survey crews, and ensure accurate measurements and documentation on site.

The role requires strong communication with field leaders, rigorous attention to detail, and hands-on use of robotic total stations, GPS, and related tools. Travel to multiple sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 5 years' surveying industry experience.
• Field-based project execution experience.
• 3-year minimum of construction layout.
• One-year minimum of bridge experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate survey requests with Superintendents and Foremen.
• Support and direct survey crews on assigned projects.
• Perform calculations for roadways, structures, utilities, and related tasks.
• Determine methods for recovering existing survey control and establishing secondary control.
• Operate and maintain survey equipment (total stations, levels, GPS).
• Conduct layout work accurately as specified.
• Familiar with Topcon/Leica/Trimble hardware and software or learn.
• Apply algebra and geometry concepts in calculations.
