Actalent in West Chester, PA is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field survey operations for land development and construction projects, including property/boundary, ALTA, and topographic surveys. This field-based role covers residential and commercial stakeout across the local area, with a company truck provided for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• 25+ years of experience in land surveying.
• Strong knowledge of property and boundary surveys.
• Experience performing ALTA surveys.
• Experience conducting topographic surveys.
• Experience with residential construction stakeout.
• Experience with commercial construction stakeout.
• Knowledge of survey modeling tools or platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform land surveying activities for property and boundary surveys in the local region.
• Conduct ALTA and topographic surveys to support engineering, design, and land development projects.
• Perform residential and commercial construction stakeout to ensure accurate placement of structures and site features.
• Utilize surveying instruments and software to collect, verify, and document field data.
• Coordinate daily field activities and plan survey routes and equipment needs.
• Travel between project sites within the local area using a company-provided truck.
• Collaborate with office and field teams to communicate survey findings and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure field work complies with standards and project requirements.
• Maintain survey equipment and follow safe practices.
