Control Point Associates in Boonton/Warren is seeking an experienced Crew Chief to lead surveying crews, performing construction stakeouts, boundary surveys, and 3D laser scanning. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a managerial surveying role, with proficiency in Trimble/Leica equipment and a valid driver’s license.

Work is a mix of field and office tasks, requiring strong teamwork, safety focus, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Competenze

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying in a managerial or leadership role.
• High School Diploma (required) with strong math, computer, and technical skills.
• Expertise in operating advanced surveying equipment and software.
• Proven ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications (e.g., OSHA, Hazwoper, TWIC).
• Ability to perform field calculations and ensure accuracy of all surveying data.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexibility to work overtime and travel overnight if needed.

• Supervise and lead survey Crews in field operations including stakeouts and boundary analysis.
• Operate and maintain advanced surveying equipment (Trimble/Leica/Spectre, GPS RTK, 3D scanners).
• Perform field calculations and manage data flow from field to office.
• Ensure safety and proper maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
• Mentor instrument operators and field crew for timely project delivery.
• Serve as on-site primary contact with clients and provide project updates.
