Control Point Associates in New York state seeks an experienced Crew Chief to supervise field crews and manage surveying projects from the NYC/Melville office. The role focuses on construction stakeouts, boundary surveys, and 3D laser scanning in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of surveying experience in a managerial or leadership role.
• High School Diploma required.
• Expertise operating advanced surveying equipment and software.
• Proven ability to lead a team and collaborate with clients and contractors.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications (e.g., OSHA, HazWoper, TWIC).
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead survey crews on field operations (stakeouts, topographical, boundary, as-built).
• Operate and maintain advanced surveying equipment (Trimble/Leica/Spectra stations, GPS RTK, 3D scanners).
• Perform field calculations and data management with accuracy.
• Ensure safety and maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
• Mentor instrument operators and field crews, ensuring timelines are met and quality standards.
• Serve as on-site point of contact for clients and provide project updates.
