Job summary

Drywall Company is seeking an experienced Construction Drywall Field Supervisor to lead field crews handling metal stud framing and drywall on commercial projects.

You will supervise daily field operations, read blueprints, coordinate with project managers and trades, ensure safety and quality, and keep projects on schedule.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in metal stud framing/drywall, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering complex interior build-outs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial metal stud framing or drywall construction.
• Proven ability to lead framing crews and manage daily production.
• Strong reading of blueprints and construction documents.
• Ability to coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and trades.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews performing metal stud framing and drywall installation.
• Oversee daily field operations, manpower, scheduling, and site coordination.
• Install and supervise light gauge steel framing, metal studs, tracks, headers, and wall assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and framing layouts.
• Coordinate framing activities with drywall installers, electricians, plumbers, and other subcontractors.
• Ensure framing work meets specifications, quality standards, and building codes.
• Layout and verify walls, partitions, openings, door frames, and interior framing systems.
• Monitor materials, tools, and equipment to ensure crews have what they need.
• Train, mentor, and provide direction to framing crews and installers.
• Maintain safe work practices and enforce company safety policies.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and needs with project managers and superintendents.
• Identify potential issues and provide solutions to keep projects on schedule.
• Perform quality control inspections and ensure work is completed before inspections and closeout.
