Job summary

Higgins-Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Metal Stud Framer for full-time work on commercial construction sites.

The role requires independent installation of metal stud framing, drywall systems and ACT, with the ability to read plans and maintain safe, high-quality work. You will lead field crews, coordinate with foremen and project managers, plan daily and weekly work to meet schedules, and ensure all work complies with company standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of interior and exterior metal stud framing.
• Experience in a leadership or foreman role preferred.
• Ability to read plans and manage layout independently.
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage production schedules.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Install metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling systems per plans and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and project documents.
• Perform layout, measure, cut, and install materials with precision.
• Maintain production pace while ensuring quality workmanship.
• Follow all jobsite safety standards and company policies.
• Work collaboratively with foremen, project managers, and other trades.
• Identify and communicate potential issues before they impact production.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment.
• Lead, manage, and develop field crews on commercial job sites.

Position Summary

The Metal Stud Framer is responsible for independently performing skilled installation of metal stud framing, drywall systems, and acoustical ceiling (ACT) systems on commercial job sites.
