Job summary

RAM Construction is seeking a Superintendent to plan and facilitate field activities, site safety, scheduling, quality control, and subcontractor coordination on projects in the Los Angeles area.

The role requires experience supervising GC projects, strong drawing-reading skills for architectural/MEP plans, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising construction projects for a General Contractor.
• Background in class-A office space and occupied buildings is a plus.
• Ground-up construction experience is a plus.
• Experience working in Los Angeles municipalities, interfacing with building inspectors and code enforcement officers is required.
• Proficiency reading architectural, structural and MEP construction drawings.
• Ability to schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in the critical path for timely completion.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Project and scheduling through the software.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Our Superintendents are responsible for planning and facilitating all daily field activities, site safety, schedule, quality control, and subcontractor coordination.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Walk all areas on project daily, to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
• Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
• Ensure that each subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
• Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
• Maintain daily logs in Procore of activities on the job site.
• Ensure subcontractor has corrected any and all deficiencies that may be identified by the project team.
• Preside over weekly subcontractor and safety meetings, designed to coordinate the work.
• Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regard to the quality of work or scheduling.
• Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
• Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
• Other duties as required.

• OSHA experience and certification.
