Job summary

POWERX in Virginia is seeking a Field Service Technician (NETA 3) to act as a project lead on electrical testing and commissioning tasks. You will set up/test equipment, collect data, write detailed reports, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring safety and quality on de-energized systems.

The role requires 5+ years of electrical field experience, a High School diploma or GED, and likely a NETA Level 3 certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree is preferred.
• NETA certification Level 3 is preferred.
• 5+ years of electrical field experience.
• OSHA 30-hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Moderate/Advanced electrical measurements and data collection.
• Project management lead and manage projects from start to finish.
• Supervise and mentor project co-lead technicians and field technicians.
• Write detailed reports on test results and findings.
• Ensure reports are accurate and submitted timely.
• Set up and remove test equipment for various testing activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of equipment.
