Lead Field Service Technician - Integration

This position reports to the Technical Consulting Manager II.

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide technical direction and assistance to ABB end customers, users, and other ABB field personnel in the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of assigned product lines, including but not limited to power delivery, drive systems, and control systems. You will handle work that is less defined in scope, using your understanding and experience to meet business objectives, which can influence short-term and some long-term goals.

You will support Order to Remittance functions such as project management, scheduling, procurement, and providing guidance to team members. The work model is onsite at our ABB facility in West Sacramento, CA.

Main Accountabilities
  • Serve as the primary on-site representative to the end customer and other ABB field personnel.
  • Prioritize safety by preserving ABB’s safety culture in all activities and ensuring co-worker safety.
  • Perform collateral duties related to HSE, Quality, and Integrity as assigned.
  • Immediately escalate any HSE violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Comply with all HSE policies and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
  • Act as Project Manager for all assigned ABB product lines, assisting customers with technical understanding of operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Help customers improve reliability and reduce ownership costs.
  • Provide a single point of contact for customers and stakeholders.
  • Continuously review processes for productivity improvements and cost savings.
  • Maintain documentation, complete reports, and utilize job-related software upon task completion.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with electrical controls and systems, including medium and high voltage systems, power panels, switchgear, MCCs, generators, ATS, high voltage breakers, electromechanical repairs, wiring diagrams, relay testing, and installations.
  • Proficiency in repair troubleshooting, shop operations, and hardware testing.
  • Ability to make formal presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or SAP is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical control systems.
  • Must have work authorization to work in the US; we are unable to sponsor visas at this time.
