HME Specialists is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician in Albuquerque, NM. You will serve as the senior daily resource for Field Service Technicians, coordinating routes and service priorities while coaching teammates and resolving complex equipment issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED; prior DME/healthcare delivery/field service experience required.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record; meet federal CMV eligibility (minimum age 21)
• Demonstrated leadership or training experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude, safe equipment handling, and strong customer service
• Basic computer/mobile device skills; clear written and verbal communication

Role Summary

As Lead Field Service Technician, you provide hands‑on field service while acting as the senior daily resource for Field Service Technicians, helping Distribution leadership keep routes, priorities, and service issues moving smoothly. Key responsibilities include coordinating day‑to‑day workflow and assignments, coaching and training technicians, troubleshooting and resolving complex equipment/service concerns, reinforcing safety and documentation standards, and escalating employee, patient, scheduling, or compliance issues to the appropriate Supervisor/Manager.

A Typical Shift

Your day starts with a quick check‑in on route coverage and open service needs, then you stay reachable as the go‑to contact for routine field questions. Between stops, you monitor progress, adjust for last‑minute changes, and keep communication flowing between technicians and Distribution leadership. You’ll spend time in the field supporting teammates—stepping in on urgent needs, helping untangle documentation or equipment questions, and ensuring the day stays on track. As the schedule wraps, you confirm outstanding items are surfaced early, notes are clear, and the team is set up for a safe, organized next day.
