Job summary

Continental Services is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician in Rochester for a full-time, on-site role. You will oversee advanced service, maintenance, and repair tasks while guiding technicians, ensuring safety, and delivering high-quality service.

Shift: Monday - Friday. You will diagnose complex problems, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate daily service schedules. You’ll mentor staff, handle escalations, and ensure timely documentation and customer communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in equipment service or maintenance.
• Valid, clean driver’s license.
• Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Leadership experience in a technical environment.
• Proficiency with tools, diagnostic equipment, and service software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct quality checks on completed work.
• Assign tasks and monitor progress of service technicians.
• Mentor and train team members on technical procedures and safety practices.
• Retrain and recertify the techs.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for technical problems.
• Focus on continuous education and reduction of repeat service calls
• Coordinate daily service schedules and prioritize urgent repairs.
• Monitor open service calls to ensure timely closing.
• Ensure timely completion of service orders and accurate documentation.
• Communicate with Account Managers regarding service status, recommendations, and costs.
• Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
