Job summary

Pengate Handling Systems is seeking a Lead Service Technician to join our Northeast service team. You will lead, coach, and support technicians performing service and repairs on forklifts and conveyor systems at customer sites.

You will monitor performance, ensure productivity and customer satisfaction, and coordinate complex repairs while promoting a safety-first culture. This role requires travel within assigned territories and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, conveyor experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• Strong leadership and mentoring ability; guide team members through challenges and new procedures.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with material handling equipment, conveyors, and components.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and mobile service apps; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of technicians performing service and repairs on forklifts and conveyor systems at customer locations.
• Monitor team performance, achieving productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Coordinate service work including troubleshooting, scheduled maintenance, inspections, and mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Promote a safety-first culture by adhering to all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
• Analyze daily operational needs and allocate resources to meet customer expectations.
• Partner with Field Service Managers to implement best practices and continuous improvements.
• Facilitate team meetings and training opportunities for technical and leadership development.
