Job summary
Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior/Lead Field Service Controls Technician to support complex industrial automation systems across manufacturing environments.
The role involves hands-on diagnosis, field troubleshooting, system commissioning, and serving as a technical resource for customers and technicians. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of industrial controls, electrical systems, and automated production equipment, with a track record of owning service
Qualifications
- At least 4–5 years hands-on experience in industrial automation, controls service, field service, or related role.
- Strong practical experience troubleshooting PLC-based control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Willingness to travel to customer facilities for local and regional service assignments.
Responsibilities
- Lead installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of industrial automation and control systems.
- Diagnose faults involving PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, networks, robotics, servo drives, and VFDs.
- Take ownership of equipment issues and develop effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Provide advanced technical support for electrical, mechanical, and software problems in automated environments.
- Collaborate with engineering/project teams to resolve recurring technical issues.
