Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks a Lead Controls Design Engineer to own the controls architecture, electrical design packages, and technical delivery for industrial automation and mission-critical infra projects.

You will lead CAD resources, set engineering standards, and ensure complete drawing packages are ready for fabrication and installation. You’ll architect PLC/SCADA and EPMS solutions supporting data centers and critical facilities, translating customer needs into repeatable

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in controls engineering or a related field.
Strong hands-on ability to develop detailed electrical drawings in AutoCAD.
Ability to design complete industrial automation control systems independently.

Responsibilities

Lead controls design activities from concept to fabrication and commissioning.
Develop detailed electrical and controls drawings using AutoCAD.
Design complete industrial automation systems: schematics, layouts, power distribution, I/O, and networks.
Engineer PLC and I/O hardware configurations and industrial networks.
Develop Bills of Materials with part numbers, quantities, and specs.
Interpret customer specs, diagrams, P&IDs to produce executable designs.
Coordinate CAD resources, manage priorities, and oversee drawing revisions.
Review packages for accuracy, coordination, and manufacturability.
Develop PLC/SCADA/HMI topologies with redundancy and segmentation.
Design EPMS architectures and support integration with UPS/ATS/switchgear.
