Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for a Florida-based industrial automation role. You will design, troubleshoot, and commission PLCs, HMIs, drives, and networks while working directly with customers on challenging automation projects.

You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver on schedule and within budget, applying hands-on skills in instrumentation, motor control, and robotics across manufacturing and process environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on industrial automation experience in controls, instrumentation, or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years with motion control systems and electrical control panel design.
• Experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and commissioning automation or process control systems.
• Ability to calibrate, diagnose, and repair complex instrumentation.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.
• Experience in water/wastewater facilities is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, troubleshoot, and support automation and control systems (PLCs, HMIs, drives, networks).
• Develop and maintain automation system architectures and control solutions.
• Test, commission, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment.
• Analyze requirements and implement solutions for manufacturing and process control.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customer personnel to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Safely troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in active environments.
