Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior / Lead Field Service Controls Technician to support complex industrial automation systems across manufacturing environments.

This hands-on role requires diagnosing equipment issues, leading field troubleshooting, and mentoring technicians, with travel to customer sites. Candidates should have strong PLC troubleshooting skills and experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, and SCADA platforms, and be prepared for on-site assignments.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years hands-on experience in industrial automation or field service.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-based control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical docs.
• Strong analytical and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and professional service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of automation systems.
• Diagnose faults in PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, networks, robotics, servo drives, and VFDs.
• Own critical equipment issues and develop solutions to minimize downtime.
• Provide advanced technical support for electrical, mechanical, and software problems.
• Interpret schematics, diagrams, and control documentation.
• Support startups, upgrades, and system integration.
• Mentor technicians and promote consistent service practices.
• Communicate findings to customers and recommend actions.
• Document service work and system changes for reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve recurring issues.
