Job summary

MPI seeks experienced licensed engineers to support large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects across the South Central region. Travel expenses are available for non-local candidates.

The PE will provide field engineering support, coordinating with construction teams, clients, contractors, and other disciplines as projects progress. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of field oversight, strong steel construction experience, and the ability to read structural drawings and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction oversight, inspection, field engineering, or superintendent experience.
• Strong structural steel construction experience including erection, connections, welding, bolting, and installation.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, specs, and shop drawings.
• Experience identifying and resolving structural construction issues in the field.
• Strong experience coordinating with contractors, engineers, clients, inspectors, and project teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management or scheduling software.
• Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite and travel as project needs require.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Review contractor submittals and RFIs from an engineering perspective.
• Provide technical responses and recommendations on construction and design issues.
• Support field-driven design changes and modifications.
• Evaluate discrepancies between design documents and field conditions; coordinate with contractors and clients.
• Provide technical guidance on electrical, power, mechanical, and mission-critical systems.
• Participate in client and construction coordination meetings.
• Support troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Maintain a strong onsite presence and help resolve issues that could impact quality or execution.
