Job summary

You will oversee daily activities, coordinate crews, equipment, and materials, and ensure production aligns with safety, quality, and project requirements. The role demands hands-on leadership, strong reading of drawings, planning, and clear communication with project management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a working foreman or lead role on heavy civil projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specs.
• Proven planning and coordination skills for manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Solid understanding of safety practices and hazard controls on active sites.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and coordinate daily field crew activities.
• Plan daily work, allocate manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure work complies with drawings, specs, and project requirements.
• Review plans and field conditions to plan sequencing of work.
• Track production, labor, equipment use, and progress.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are met.
• Identify field issues and coordinate with leadership to resolve delays.
• Coordinate with operators, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Lead or support daily safety meetings and pre-task planning.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, quality, and schedule performance.
• Communicate daily progress and resource needs to management.
• Perform hands-on construction work as needed and mentor crew.
