We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead field crews and oversee daily construction activities on heavy civil and perimeter security projects. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for coordinating crews, equipment, materials, and daily production while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise, direct, and coordinate daily field crew activities.
- Plan daily work activities and coordinate manpower, equipment, tools, and materials.
- Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Review plans and field conditions to effectively plan and sequence work.
- Track daily production, quantities, labor, equipment usage, and project progress.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- Identify field issues and coordinate with project leadership to resolve problems and minimize delays.
- Coordinate activities with equipment operators, subcontractors, other trades, and project personnel.
- Conduct or support daily safety meetings, pre-task planning, and job hazard assessments.
- Maintain jobsite safety, housekeeping, quality, and schedule performance.
- Communicate daily progress, resource needs, field conditions, and potential issues to project management.
- Perform hands‑on construction work as needed to support field operations and maintain productivity.
- Mentor and develop crew members while reinforcing safe work practices and performance expectations.
What You Bring
- Proven leadership and field coordination skills.
- Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, sequencing, and jobsite operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ability to effectively plan work, coordinate resources, and manage daily field operations.
- Strong awareness of construction hazards and safe work practices.
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, excavation activities, active work zones, and other trades.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Dependability, accountability, and professional leadership.
- Ability to foster teamwork, provide clear direction, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions, including rough or uneven terrain.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualification | Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a working foreman, leadman, or similar field leadership role in heavy civil construction.
- Experience with earthwork, excavation, concrete, structural installation, or infrastructure construction strongly preferred.
- Experience coordinating field crews and heavy equipment operations strongly preferred.
- Experience with perimeter security, fencing, gates, bollards, barriers, or related infrastructure preferred.
- Applicable OSHA, equipment, or construction safety training or certifications preferred.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
