Job summary

Gibralter Border Barriers is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead field crews on heavy civil and perimeter security projects. This hands-on leadership role coordinates crews, equipment, materials, and daily production while upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards.

You will supervise daily activities, plan work, ensure compliance with drawings and specs, and mentor team members to maintain efficient operations on challenging sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a working foreman or similar field leadership role in heavy civil construction.
• Experience with earthwork, excavation, concrete, structural installation, or infrastructure construction preferred.
• Experience coordinating field crews and heavy equipment operations preferred.
• Experience with perimeter security, fencing, gates, bollards, barriers, or related infrastructure preferred.
• OSHA, equipment, or construction safety training/certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily field crew activities.
• Plan daily work and coordinate manpower, equipment, tools, and materials.
• Ensure safety and compliance with drawings, specs, and project requirements.
• Review plans and field conditions to sequence work.
• Track production, labor, equipment usage, and progress.
• Maintain quality standards and safety at all times.
• Identify issues and coordinate with project leadership to resolve delays.
• Coordinate with operators, subcontractors, other trades, and project personnel.
• Support daily safety meetings, pre-task planning, and job hazard assessments.
• Maintain site housekeeping, quality, and schedule performance.
• Communicate progress and resource needs to management.
• Perform hands-on construction work as needed.
• Mentor crew members and reinforce safe work practices.
