Job summary

STV is seeking a Resident Engineer in our New York Field Office to oversee key transportation projects. The candidate will bring 5+ years of construction management experience with infrastructure projects and NYCDDC experience is preferred.

You will manage field staff, monitor budgets, and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery. Key responsibilities include supervising a field inspection team, reviewing schedules, and coordinating with contractors to ensure contract compliance and accurate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 5 years of relevant Resident Engineering experience with infrastructure construction projects.
• Experience on NYCDDC construction projects is a plus.
• NYPE License is a plus.
• Master's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a field inspection team, ensuring effective project execution and budget monitoring.
• Review and assess the construction schedule, chair job-related meetings, and work closely with contractors to ensure contract compliance.
• Provide recommendations to the Design Engineer on contractor requests and facilitate communication among stakeholders.
• Ensure all work complies with federal and state laws, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Work independently, setting your own work plan and priorities to meet project objectives.
