Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Inspector based in Saranac Lake, NY. You will lead daily scheduling and planning at the project site and ensure materials, equipment, and people are in place to complete the work safely and efficiently.

You will build on 4+ years of inspection experience, oversee site/civil construction activities, and help manage contract and project delivery while safeguarding health and the environment. Onsite work and collaboration are key.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Construction Inspector or in building construction trades.
• Experience performing inspections of site/civil construction work.
• Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction activities, building systems and components, construction technologies, contract management, project delivery methods, team collaboration, and client relationship management.
• OSHA 30 Certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Here's what you'll need

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Construction Inspector or in building construction trades
• Experience performing inspections of site/civil construction work
• Working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction activities, building systems and components, construction technologies, contract management, project delivery methods, team collaboration, and client relationship management
• OSHA 30 Certification, or the ability to obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment

Ideally, you'll also have:

• Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field
• Relevant industry certifications or technical training

The base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $90,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
