Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking a Fiber Optic Splicing Technician / Lead Fiber Technician to install, splice, terminate, test and maintain singlemode fiber networks across industrial, commercial, and outdoor environments. You will lead field crews, ensure safety, and coordinate with project managers, customers, and contractors to deliver high-quality network infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience performing fusion splicing of singlemode fiber.
• Proficiency with OTDR, VFL, and OLTS testing equipment.
• Experience building fiber splice enclosures and termination systems.
• Strong knowledge of fiber connector types and termination methods.
• Ability to read fiber network diagrams and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform fusion splicing of singlemode fiber optic cables.
• Install and terminate connectors and enclosures; maintain fiber management.
• Conduct fiber testing and troubleshoot to restore service.
• Lead field crews and coordinate subcontractors on projects.
• Ensure safety and compliance on site and with customers.
