Job summary

EOS IT Solutions is actively seeking an Optical Service Technician to install, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper networks in production and mission-critical environments. The role supports migration activities, follows installation standards, and collaborates with project teams to improve efficiency through documented run books.

The ideal candidate has advanced fiber optic expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead field activities when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in the network infrastructure industry.
• Extensive fiber optic installation, testing, certification, and troubleshooting at scale.
• Experience working in live production and mission-critical environments.
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cabling systems.
• Perform OTDR and OLTS testing and analysis.
• Execute installation services according to project specifications, company standards, and customer requirements.
• Ensure all installation activities meet QA and QC standards.
• Support network migration projects within production environments.
• Understand and mitigate risks during live network changes.
• Identify repeatable tasks and develop run books and migration procedures.
• Document testing results, installation activities, and project deliverables.
