Job summary

Sundance Institute is seeking a Festival Editor, Video Content to edit marketing video assignments for the 2027 Sundance Film Festival. The role requires leadership within a team of editors and collaboration with Content, Festival personnel, and social teams.

Expect to work often evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet deadlines. This temp, full‑time position offers a 40‑hour work week with project deadlines and travel/work locations as needed, including Boulder, CO, and other hubs until the

Qualifications

• 3 years of related experience in video editing.
• Experience editing social and longform content, vertical and horizontal.
• Strong knowledge of Frame.io and Camera to Cloud.
• Understanding of commercial video structure and current aesthetics.

Responsibilities

• Edit assignments using Adobe Premiere and Frame.io while maintaining project and file management.
• Integrate motion graphics with video footage seamlessly and creatively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and festival teams to produce high‑quality marketing materials.
• Deliver initial cuts ahead of deadlines to allow time for revisions.
• Lead a team of editors and assistants; coordinate workflow with Post-Production Supervisor.
• Incorporate feedback and prepare assets with accessibility measures.
• Create folder structures for editing workflows and archival backups on server.
