Job summary

American Modern Insurance Group, Inc., a Munich Re company, is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead pricing model strategy for personal lines. You will drive end-to-end model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring, while mentoring junior data scientists.

This senior technical role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, regulatory filings, and expanding predictive analytics initiatives to support enterprise strategy in a flexible, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• FCAS certification or designation required.
• 6+ years of data science/predictive analytics experience in insurance or 8+ years in another industry.
• Strong communication and collaboration with business partners and regulators as needed.
• Experience mentoring junior data scientists and analysts.
• Master’s degree in related field required.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing model strategy for a subset of products.
• Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain predictive models.
• Mentor junior data scientists and analysts.
• Manage filing schedules for aligned products.
• Present results to internal and external stakeholders and regulators when required.
• Contribute to broader predictive analytics initiatives and enterprise strategy.
