Lead Facility Manager (Project Management)
The Lead Facility Manager is responsible for the daily operational readiness and physical upkeep of Mylan Parks athletic and aquatic facilities, including the Aquatic Center and Track & Field Complex. This role ensures that all building systems, equipment, and event spaces are safe, clean, and functioning efficiently. The Lead Facility Manager will coordinate maintenance tasks, supervise facility operations staff, assist with event setups and breakdowns, and serve as a critical point of contact during operational hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to all medical and non-medical emergencies.
- Oversee and delegate responsibilities to staff.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Ensure all risk management measures are implemented.
- Assist in the evaluation and promotion of student staff.
- Troubleshoot CSI issues/questions for student staff.
- Assist in interviewing and training new student staff.
- Monitor all facility activity and program areas continually.
- Document participation counts for each activity area.
- Set up for rentals and special events as needed.
- Ensure accurate cash handling practices.
- Complete all incident and accident reports as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee daily facility inspections and maintenance checks across aquatic and athletic spaces.
- Coordinate and perform basic repairs, routine upkeep, and preventive maintenance on facility equipment, mechanical systems, and fixtures.
- Ensure all building systems (HVAC, lighting, water, filtration) function properly and respond to operational emergencies.
- Collaborate with custodial teams to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Event & Program Support
- Assist with setup and breakdown for events including swim meets, track meets, community events, and rentals.
- Ensure event spaces are clean, safe, and properly configured before and after use.
- Coordinate facility logistics and vendor access with the Operations and Guest Services team.
Staff Supervision
- Lead a team of part-time facility attendants, custodians, and support staff during shifts.
- Provide training on equipment use, safety procedures, and facility protocols.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure timely completion of operations checklists.
Safety & Compliance
- Monitor adherence to all safety standards, including pool deck safety and equipment storage.
- Ensure proper signage, lighting, and access control across the facility.
- Respond to incidents and complete reports in coordination with supervisory staff.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ordering replacements as needed.
