Buncombe County Government's General Services department seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician III for the Detention Center in Asheville, NC. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of four (4) years progressively increasing experience in one or more maintenance trades, and safety training.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possession of a valid North Carolina driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Perform skilled maintenance and repair in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, painting, welding and electrical work.
• Maintain related paperwork such as work orders.
• Purchase materials, obtain quotes, or seek bids according to policy.
• Supervise a work crew of three maintenance technicians.
• Support facility safety and operational readiness at the Detention Center.
