Job summary

Community Transit seeks a Facilities Maintenance Tech I to perform a broad range of manual and semi-skilled tasks at transit facilities, bus stops, shelters, and park-and-ride properties. The role emphasizes safety and reliable maintenance in outdoor settings with traffic exposure.

You will perform painting, carpentry, lighting, plumbing, groundskeeping, and more, often outdoors, and enter work orders in CMMS software. Washington state driver’s license required, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of trade school, or recent maintenance experience within 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform physical labor and routine maintenance tasks as assigned, including painting, groundskeeping, graffiti/trash removal, carpentry, furniture assembly, office moves, lighting/electrical, plumbing, and proactive equipment maintenance.
