Job summary

HopeTree Family Services seeks a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations for its properties in the Richmond area. You will ensure facilities, grounds, and building systems are safe, functional, well-maintained, and compliant with standards, coordinating with inspectors and leadership on routine maintenance and capital projects.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and broad trades experience (carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical).

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or contracting.
Strong working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Proficient in MS Office and work-order/documentation systems.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Western Region.

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance work for campuses and properties, prioritizing safety and urgency.
Manage upkeep of buildings, grounds, and agency vehicles, including seasonal tasks.
Ensure electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems operate safely and efficiently.
Coordinate access for contractors and obtain materials as directed.
Prepare facilities for inspections and document compliance and projects.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, purchases, bids, inspections, and projects.
Support facility improvements and budget-conscious purchasing with leadership.
