Job summary

RTX Corporate in Goleta, CA is seeking a Lead Technician, Facilities – Mechanical Rooms to ensure reliable operation of building systems in a semiconductor wafer fab and related areas. Responsibilities include HVAC, pumps, valves, and electrical troubleshooting, with a focus on preventive and small-scale projects and strict OSHA safety adherence.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in facilities maintenance or related tech fields, an AS/AA degree or equivalent, and US citizenship with the ability

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ HVAC Mechanic with strong troubleshooting skills.
• General knowledge of pneumatic controls, thermostats and VAV Boxes.
• Experience working on large air/water cooled chillers.
• Service and repair of environmental-control systems associated with mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in the maintenance of large “custom” and cleanroom air handlers.
• Thorough understanding of heating and ventilation systems for cleanrooms, electronics labs, and environmental lab areas.
• Maintenance of cooling towers and the associated systems involved with their operation.

Responsibilities

• Machinery operation, maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to perform maintenance-related tasks, such as troubleshooting and maintaining pump systems, compressed air, vacuum systems, HVAC systems, backup emergency power systems, etc.
• Electrical troubleshooting.
• Project management – Small projects
• Responsible to work in compliance with OSHA and Raytheon safety policies and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills.
