Job summary

Rocket Lab in Middle River, MD, seeks a Master Facilities Technician to lead build-out and expansion of the Space Structures Complex. You will maintain HVAC systems, manage construction projects, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance to support the Neutron program.

The role emphasizes hands-on construction, preventive maintenance, and reliable facility operations in a high-tech aerospace setting. Extensive after-hours support may be needed.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years HVAC maintenance experience and a High School Diploma or GED.
  • EPA 608 Universal License required.
  • Facility maintenance experience in regulated environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead facility build-out and improvement projects including planning and commissioning.
  • Maintain and upgrade HVAC systems to ensure reliable production environments.
  • Develop preventative maintenance schedules for building systems.
  • Manage day-to-day facility operations and renovations.
  • Support plumbing installations and repairs for production needs.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across work activities.
  • Oversee ticketing system (JIRA) and track work orders to completion.
  • Support BMS/BAS rollout and ongoing management.
  • Maintain site safety, security, and cleanliness standards.
  • Respond to facility emergencies and occasional travel as needed.
