Job summary

The Building People, LLC, seeks a Facilities Operations Manager (Lead Area Facilities Operations Specialist) in Grand Prairie, TX. This full-time role supports facility operations, energy management, and SRM, coordinating with customer and regional staff.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree (or 5+ years related experience), strong leadership, and knowledge of building systems; CMMS experience preferred. Telework arrangements may vary; background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years experience; or 5+ years of related experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams in challenging environments.
• Detailed knowledge of building electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, interiors, and roofing systems.
• Experience with building inspections and facility condition assessments.
• Proficient with CMMS and estimating tools; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central point of communication between customer and regional staff.
• Assist Program Manager with timely contractual deliverables.
• Identify and report building deficiencies and propose repairs.
• Inform customers and tenants about site matters and upcoming projects.
• Track project status, inspections, documentation, and work orders.
• Assist with design reviews for major/minor construction and repairs.
• Provide backup coverage and ensure quality assurance for service contracts.
• Create and maintain documentation, checklists, and reports.
