Job summary

Sanford Health’s Bemidji Medical Center is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician responsible for light maintenance, repair and cleaning tasks in a safe, professional manner. This role requires basic mechanical knowledge, use of hand tools, meters, and gauges, and the ability to work from blueprints and manuals.

The position involves maintaining mechanical and stationary systems, including boiler operations, along with potential on-call duties.

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred.
Knowledge of common power and hand tools. Experience in building and equipment maintenance.
Experience with building automation systems preferred.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC preferred.
Ability to work all shifts and hours as scheduled.
Boiler License is preferred. Must obtain 1st Class “B” Boiler License within 5 years.
Must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license and must be insurable.

Responsibilities

Perform installation and maintenance of mechanical and stationary systems, including boiler operations.
Maintain campus grounds and perform other outside maintenance duties.
Perform general duties such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and bed repair and maintenance.
Work from blueprints, schematics and technical manuals when applicable.
May require on-call duties as needed or directed by the department.
