Job summary

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources seeks a Maintenance Mechanic (Facilities Maintenance Specialist - Advanced) at the Kettle Moraine Springs Fish Hatchery to perform complex repairs and maintenance tasks below journeyman level. You will coordinate with the Hatchery Supervisor and Biologist to initiate and track projects and may direct others on maintenance tasks.

Starting pay is $26.87 per hour plus excellent benefits; work hours include weekends/holidays and on-call rotations for

Qualifications

• Experience in trade skills such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
• Experience in fabrication and/or repair of equipment.
• Experience using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook) in a work or academic setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance tasks at the hatchery, coordinating with supervisors.
• Repair or replace building structures or equipment not affecting major systems.
• Coordinate maintenance projects and supervise other staff on projects.
