Job summary

Richmond County School System in Augusta, GA seeks an Electrician in the Maintenance and Facilities Department. The position is Full-Time within Classified / Non-Contracted, reporting to the Assistant Director of Certified Trades.

Primary duties include maintaining electrical devices, installing new equipment, and responding to maintenance requests. 235 work days per year; salary range $36,294 to $48,848.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; two-year trade school preferred.
• Electrician's license preferred; valid state driver’s license required.
• Must troubleshoot, read blueprints, and lead workers.
• Minimum six years’ experience with fusion splicers and OTDR equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and report status to the electrical foreman.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems at all levels.
• Repair and maintain equipment per NEC.
• Install and troubleshoot electrical systems.
