Richland County School District One, in South Carolina, seeks an Electrician to perform installations, maintenance and repairs to school electrical systems while adhering to applicable codes and standards.

Under supervision, you will supervise apprentices, interpret blueprints, and manage daily tasks including after-hours emergencies and report preparation within a school district environment.

Competenze

• Requires vocational diploma supplemented by four years of experience in electrical repair.
• Must possess a valid state drivers license and be licensed as a Certified Electrician (Journeyman).

• Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Assists in supervising the duties of assigned apprentices and tradesworkers. Supervisory duties include assigning, reviewing and planning work of others, and maintaining standards.
• Works from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts; assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Prepares sketches or follows blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment.
• Assists with obtaining prices for and ordering supplies required for projects.
• Responds as needed to after-hours emergency calls
• Assembles scaffolding up to 30 feet.
• Receives, reviews, prepares and/or submits various records and reports, including work orders, blueprints, specifications, accident reports, warehouse requests, etc.

Formazione

Vocational diploma

Four years experience in electrical repair
