Job summary

Greenwood Fabricating & Plating, LLC is seeking an experienced Lead Technical Trainer – Fabrication to strengthen hands-on training across the fabrication floor. This role combines deep fabrication knowledge with the ability to teach, coach, organize, and lead others, developing on-the-job trainers and ensuring consistent, measurable progress during the 90-day onboarding.

The position is primarily 1st shift with flexibility to cover other shifts, and offers a salary range from $60,000 to $80,000

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or technical training experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing specs.
• Experience training and leading a group of on-the-job trainers.
• Willingness to work primarily 1st shift and support other shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical training on fabrication equipment, processes, and quality requirements.
• Lead and coach on-the-job trainers to maintain consistent training methods.
• Monitor progress during the 90-day onboarding and assess competency.
• Collaborate with Production, HR, Quality, and Engineering to improve training effectiveness.
• Develop and improve work instructions, visual aids, and training materials.
• Identify recurring issues that indicate training opportunities.
• Support cross-training and workforce flexibility.
• Demonstrate equipment safely on the production floor.
