Job summary

Greenwood Fabricating & Plating, LLC is seeking a Lead Technical Trainer – Fabrication to strengthen hands-on training on the shop floor. This visible role requires strong fabrication knowledge and the ability to coach, organize, and lead on-the-job trainers within the Fabrication department.

The candidate will ensure consistent training, develop skills for independent work, and support a clear progression path during the initial training period.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing, fabrication, or technical training experience.
• Ability to read drawings and teach hands-on fabrication processes.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a team of on-the-job trainers.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical training on fabrication equipment, processes, and safety.
• Lead, coach, and standardize training methods across the department.
• Monitor trainee progress during the 90‑day training period and assess competency.
• Develop work instructions, visual aids, and training materials.
• Collaborate with Production, HR, Quality, and Engineering to improve training effectiveness.
• Support cross-training and succession planning for the Fabrication dept.
